Zakat al-Fitr

What is Zakat al-Fitr?

Obligatory Charity: It's a form of alms-giving required of every able Muslim at the end of Ramadan.

Purification and Provision: It's intended to purify the fasting person from any inappropriate words or actions during Ramadan and to provide food for the needy on the day of Eid.

Time Sensitivity: It must be given before the Eid prayer, ideally before the end of Ramadan. â€‹
